In our fight with Protestantism, we western Catholics have forgotten this essential teaching. St. Paul says we are adopted. No good father of an adopted son would treat him differently than his own son. St. Iraneus is the author of the formula: "God became man so that man might become God." This is a Roman Catholic father of the church, before the great division of the east and the west. It is the essential teaching indeed. Thank you for this excellent video.
