It's honestly crazy how many parallels soccer/football and basketball have. And I think most directly is the connection involving spacing, passing, and overall seeing patterns in the game. After spending the last month traveling Europe to train hoopers/coaches and learn the game, this felt necessary to make!

Being a footballer before I started basketball helped a lot with vision and off ball movement definitely

5 tips to become a better passer based on soccer principles:
1. Don't wait for open teammates, see them before they are open
2. Pass on the catch. Survey the floor beforehand, and make zero second decision
3. Lead teammates.
4. Give and go concept
5. Create disadvantages: attack clouse-outs hard to get downhill, pick-n-roll, handoff and off ball screens.

As a 2 way slashing playmaker irl I love passing but often teammates miss open layups after an unexpected pass. It's hard playing with unfamiliar faces that don't know your passing game.

I'm sure someone will say it but it's funny you show Barca as an example here. Pep, famous for bringing tiki-taka to Barca & the world, reportedly studied ball movement in basketball (in addition to his little tour to study under innovative some coaches around the world) when developing his footballing philosophy. And watching Barca under him in the 2010s, it was evident that their movement (ball and player) was unreal in the sport.

BBall in USA, either that one player keeps dunking or shooting and the circle go on like that, you might even wonder if there're 5 player on the court or its just one player

To me passing always came natural a lot of it isn’t just pure reaction and my style of play I’m not a aggressive scorer so it’s just natural for me to look for other people
