PORTLAND DESIGN WORKS 650 BEAST FENDERS

In this video I install some PDW "650 Beast" fenders and take a wet ride on my 2018 Kona Rove NRB DL! I'm not sponsored, so if you want some honest feedback on either product or have any questions, feel free to post in comments below, I'll get back to you.
This is my first road bike and first fender experience. These fenders look great, are made of high quality anodized aluminum, and provide excellent protection. Let me tell you, its awesome to ride through puddles without getting wet! My only quibble was no leather or Neoprene washers included for the frame attachment points - without these you will likely damage or abrade your paint. No biggie, your local hardware store should have lots of options. Overall I give them 2 thumbs up. Nice product PDW!

Hi there, thanks! Behind my BB there is a threaded rivet in the frame. The fender wasnt close so i used a longer screw through the fender (threads facing fwd). Then i put a section of vacuum hose over the exposed threads to act as a spacer. Once threaded and tightened w the right length, the rubber sandwiches and is essentially a vibration isolation mount. Enjoy that Slate! Cool bike 👍🏻

Just saw that they offer black stays on the pdw website for the 55 beast. 20$. Keep it stealth like that sweet ride you got parked in the background.

do you have the actual width of the 55 fender? my 45 only measured to 41mm

Great vid. I just picked up a set of these for my Cannondale Slate. Curious what you did at the bottom bracket area for your rear fender? I've got nothing in that area except for the front derailleur cable. I'm thinking zip ties around the seat post?
