Artificial Smog in a Chemistry Lab

By mixing ozone with organic chemicals like limonene, chemists can make simulated smog inside of glass chambers. In this video, Sergey Nizkorodov of the UC Irvine chemistry department shows us two different smog simulation chambers that are used for atmospheric chemistry and environmental science research.
