Chicago Basin

This video is about our visit to Chicago Basin near Silverton, CO. We accessed the area by train and set up a base camp in the basin. We were able to summit 3 of the 4 14ers in the area. We had to retreat to camp from Windom Peak due to fast moving thunderstorm. We spent a total of 5 days on the trip. Day 1 we drove to Silverton, rode the train and packed in. Day 2 we climbed Mt. Eolus and N. Eolus and day 3 we rested in camp. Day 4 we climbed Sunlight Peak and attempted Windom Peak. On day 5 we packed out, rode the train and drove home. It was a grand Colorado Adventure!
