Actually, the game was already in beta when the WWE license was sold to Take Two. The WWE Games team from THQ was carried over so they could finish this game. Next year is when 2k will have more control over the game. But you can tell 2k had influence though; All of the guys have their entrance attires, Goldberg made it in, Warrior made it in (and he ain't cheap!).

Actually, all of what you're attributing to 2Ks involvement was already set. It's been said in many interviews now that basically everything that is or isn't in the game in terms of content had been decided before the sale. Warrior and Goldberg weren't in before because the WWE didn't want them in, it had nothing to do with THQ - but since the company made peace with both men in recent years to finalize DVDs, it opened that possibility back up.
