This is interesting. I’ve never considered it. That being said, I’m like 100% sure some man from the 1800’s was NOT thinking about women’s sexual liberation when he made that story. But, I guess that’s the cool thing about art. People can interpret it however they want to, even if it wasn’t the artist’s original vision.
