Well, now Stanton really has lost everything. He was able to get his job back on appeal, but lost his TO status and was permanently demoted from senior ranking, but at least he still had his reputation and influences. But now, those are gone, destroyed thanks to that incriminating footage. Now he truly has nothing left.

I'd say his only option is to resign, unless he can deal with having a stalled and isolated career in the LAPD.

1:41 The best part is that Stanton has to sit there and watch as his actions are picked apart by his fellow officers. Internal Affairs can say nothing because it would be expected to use real life incidents to teach officers, especially when an officer was attacked.
Stanton might have been reinstated, but he has lost so much credibility that nobody will ever work with him. He has been exposed as a racist, a liar and a coward. It's only a matter of time before he re-signs.
