OPERATED A C-5 LIKE THIS BUT ONE A FEW YEARS LATER, IN THE MID '70-80s. SUPERB OUTFIT. IT'D PULL 2 CHORDS OF POPPLE IN GOOD GOING, NEAR INT'L FALLS, MINN LOVE IT. THANX 4 THE VID. BROUGHT BACK A LOT OF GOOD OLD MEMEORIES.

A Tree Farmer C5B. The earlier ''B''series were equipped with a Braden chain drive winch. On the last of the ''B''s the pipe arch was replaced with one formed from plate steel. The "C" series came out with quite a few improvements over the "B"s. I still own a C5C.

That was a steal for $1000, it's all there and in decent shape.

Dangit ol' man.... You know either one of us would still run the ol' gal😎 maybe not all day, every day, but she'd still be fun to play on!!!
Thanks for the video!!

Very impressive it may have outlived many of its operations.

It got a nice fishing rod on thr back of it for going fishing for logs and trees after a strong to severe thunderstorms and storm damage as well and vehicles stuck on the mountain roads as well

Simple, a man can stay working steady. Putting food on the table. Easy to work on, work with. Keeping the bills payed. Good old fren that doesn’t quit on you.

Love old iron. Seems like yesterday these were bouncing through the bush.

My first skidder was one just like that .1966 Tree Farmer C5, Gearmatic #9 winch, no fenders...was a bit of a nightmare coming down a mountain with some big hardwood climbing the tires.I bought it in 1981, built a good cab on it and put some fenders on it and I kept it till 1988 and I got the same as I paid for it...$8000.

Good shape for it's age. Would be handy around here. Thanks, Pal!

Was running one of these yesterday. VERY awkward machine to get on and off, does not steer half as short as a timberjack machine. They did not come with the gearmatic winch, but definitely a good idea to put it on there

Be perfect for a small land owner to keep the property cleaned up and make a few bucks

My dad had a 1965 C5 tree farmer. It had a Braden winch. I think I would rather have the gearamatic though.

That's pretty sweet if I was nearby I would give the 1000 hopefully it gets saved by someone

It's not a Monashee. Cancar is the best guess I have. I think Cancar also built the Chip and Saw in New Westminster B.C.
