As much as I hate to say it, you're probably right. Hawk wouldn't beat Johnny, although he also wouldn't make it easy. The only way Hawk stands any real chance of actually winning against Johnny is if he's somehow learnt the Crane Kick.

Although I do like the progression of hawk I think Johnny's length give him problems just like Miguel's length did. That added with his experience i believe hawk doesn't match up with Johnny very well

Eeeeh, i dont know... If Hawk and Johnny 84 fought in a tournament, then yes, Johnny wins. But in a street fight, Hawk would (in my opinion) give Johnny a run for his money, since he seems to be faster and, hell, stronger than him. I could be wrong tho, its been awhile since i saw KK1.
