Marvel really needed to have character movies before the big Eternals movie… Just like they did for the avengers. When we got to the Eternals movie and didn't know any of the Eternals themselves, we didn't care about them

I feel like eternals would have done better if they had run it as a series. Built the characters slowly over time and then finished with a movie. Run it like the first season of heroes

I have a weak spot for stories with any bit of immortality in them. I knew, just like so many others, that Eternals was going to flop. Yet I still paid and watched that movie in theaters 4 times in a row over 3 days. Really should've been a show than a one-off movie. Too many people not enough screentime for everyone.

He was honestly the best part of the movie. Him and I thought Kip Harringtons the Black Knight was a really cool and interesting character set up that looks like is never gonna go anywhere

Think people are just tired of the cut and paste superhero movies/shows. Every single one is like the stake of existence depends on us going to this place to get this thing to stop this person from destroying this world/universe/multiverse. They’ve become predictable and tired. The actors in the Eternals weren’t bad. But from start you know what’s going to happen. A huge conflict. A traitor amongst them. A McMuffin to go find. It’s over saturation combined with a greedy studio system for a bored audience. I think it’s really as simple as that.

Cause it was like water soup. It needed about 2/3rds of the characters either moved to other movies or cut completely. Like, wasn't Jon Snow in that movie at some point? And multiple times Angelina Jolie would show up, and I'd say 'oh yeah, I forgot she was in this', just because of how much of a cluster-f it was.

They need to at least have the writers read some comics or at least the Wikipedia of the characters. They write these movies like there isn't many many years of stories to pull from

Eternals was an alright movie. It wasn’t the best but it’s much better than some of the movies out there. I think it suffered from expectations that were too high considering the cast.

It sucks that the movie didn't do better, because it's actually on my list of most viewed MCU movies. It's that good, IMO.
I think it embodied the fact that people said they wanted the MCU to do something different but when it did, they kind of just said "Not like that!"

I love the character interactions. Kingo and Karun are hilarious together. Druig and Makkari are so damn cute. And Sprite just breaks my heart in her interactions with everyone, every time I watch the movie.

Marvel has been pretty delusional on how well their movies would do in theaters since the eternals came out, seems like they were running out of steam during the end of the infinity saga.

The movie was shit and everyone, especially the fans knew it would be shit because Hollywood suck ass at adapting source material for things they don't research properly or care about.
