From a SA supporter. Ireland was outstanding. They reminded me of the Springbok team that beat NZ in NZ prior to the RWC in 2019. Their passion for the sport, and willingness to put their bodies on the line to win, was magnificent to behold.

I do think we will beat you if we face you again as we didnt play to our strengths (almost no mauls besides the one at the end). And we bring in Pollard. But its such small margins between us two so thats going to be so tough if we face each other in the final.

There is few comments around the use of the word huge. As a South African, I think it shows respect to team they played against. Even if they had won by 1 point, they could have used the word "huge" and it would be in context with regards to the nature of the game played. South Africa beating NZ is always a huge moment whether its by 1 or 28 points.

Brilliant discussion. I don't see more than a couple of changes and a really strong bench for Scotland. Scotland will throw everything and the kitchen sink at this game. AF has been cautious about banana skins and don't see him deviating much. In addition with two weeks off, not playing the main core of the team means that, should we progress, they won't have played for 3 weeks.

I truly hope these two meet each other in the final. However, being the WC it will probably not be. Any one of these two deserves to hold up the Webb Ellis trophy. But ultimately the winner of the WC final will. 🙂

I'm irish and the SB's had a few slick passing moves and if they play France ..they'll need that element to win I think. The thing that's scary about them is that they didn't play Willie le Roux, Pollard and didn't have Marx or Lukhanyo Am.. imagine if they get some of those guys back! If they play France that will be great game for the neutral especially if Dupont ca get back for France.
