This song was much needed today. This is my current mood.

This hit hard. I was abandoned by my best friend of eight years in march this year. She meant everything to me, we went through so much together, and I genuinely believed she would be here forever. But when my mental health was at its worst and I wanted nothing more than to die and be done with it, she decided to jump ship. I morned her for months, it felt like someone had died, I'm honeslty surprised it didn't push me over the edge.
I'm at the point of healing now, and I don't miss her. But sometimes there are nights where it all creeps back up and I can't help but think how it could have been different, how much I once loved her. I already had trust issues, and I truly don't know if I'll trust someone enough again to let them get as close as she did; but I'm here, I'm still alive, and doing so so much better than a few months ago. I know I can make it, I am better for the things I had to experience.
