I find it so weird that an evil abuser like Shadrach was just portrayed as a comic relief character as opposed to a villain.

Think this was the only instance of shadrach intimidating Cain, after his initial appearance shadrach was basically turned into a comedy character who got beat up/abused by Cain regularly

Shadrach has dark background even though he was more or less a comedic character during his time on the show

I don't understand why the show portrayed Shadrach as a comedy character until his death and after that shown his dark side, they should of exposed more when he was still living rather than after his death.

Cain and Phil Mitchell have one thing in common which is having shit Dads. (Even though Zak is Cain’s biological father but was brought up by Shadrach)

Shadrach abused Cain when he was younger which is why he was so intimidated by him. He punched Shadrach a few years later.
