Is the Hoenn League Girlypop?

It's kinda funny that this video came out as the leaks happened. I think because there is so much to each generation from this point on, we might actually stop and study more aspects of generation 3/Hoenn before we move on to Sinnoh.

For the people who take their time to read the description, let me know, should we study the coordinators, leaked designs, and battle frontier trainers of Hoenn before moving on?

I think the idea of being more comprehensive in this series could make the conversation more fun, help me to learn more in researching, and just give us a more thorough understanding of the whole chronology of girlypop in Pokémon!

For me Flannery represents this idea of the new gen taking over for the old. She’s running hot springs her family passed down and she’s spunky and definitely stands out against the more typical countryside town she’s from. It’s giving…..very…..alt girly pop breaking the glass ceiling

Some design insight: they're both based on a sunset at the beach. One represents the power of the wave, and the other the quiet serenity. One works out at the beach a lot thinking of it as a natural gym, the other basically lives there, feeling more connected via tai chi and surfing. Both honing their bodies in different ways. I absolutely love their designs so I've spent an abnormal amount of time researching them

Hi! I really loved this video- but I would like to bring up an aspect of the Hoenn Elite 4 that was a missed opportunity to discuss- while the rooms themselves aren't that interesting- the HALLWAYS TO the rooms were quite gorgeously animated in ORAS and really did a great job atmospherically with introducing each member in a fun way. Phoebe's hallway is ESPECIALLY gorgeous, being this eerie but calm purple lake with lotus flowers, lily pads and wisterias for set dressing, all while a ghostly entity lights up the lanterns to her door. It gagged me SO fiercely as a kid and was iconic to me, that I was surprised there was no mention of it- as it's easily my favorite aspect surrounding Phoebe's character.

Wallace and Steven slayed so hard in ORAS that they single handedly grabbed 15 year old me out of a depression hole and made me start drawing again. This video is so affirming, they ARE just that good

28:18 Noooo don’t sleep on the Hoenn Elite Four’s room layouts! Their battle courts are plain, yeah, but in ORAS they have these long antechambers you walk through between each E4 member, and *those* rooms are some of the best-decorated in the series!
