Batocera V40 Now Out

So, I have finally gotten around to making a setup guide for Wii emulation on Batocera Linux. Many people srtruggle with emulating the Wiimote and Nunchuck so I have covered this too in this setup guide. I am also going to show you how to get the best video and graphics settings and did I mention, depending on your system, we can play Wii games in 4k rather than what the original hardware would support - 480p/480!

For anyone having controller problems, not working when game starts in Batocera V39 this worked for me after MANY attempts:
Follow this video guide to map the Wii buttons, Save, then exit back to the Main Games screen

MAIN MENU > GAME SETTINGS > PER SYSTEM ADVANCED > Wii (or VIEW OPTIONS > ADVANCED SYSTEM OPTIONS >)
EMULATOR: DOLPHIN
*Ignore Controller 1, 2, 3, 4
CONTROLLERS> EMULATE WIIMOTE: ON

Hi Jamie, thanks for your video it really helped. I can now play some of my favourite Wii games full screen with my Xbox one controller. Soon I’ll use a genuine Wii controller.

I can't change any of the settings in the application (it doesn't save and reverts to my previous settings). I was able to get the games to load into fullscreen if I launch directly from the application, but it doesn't work from the main Batocera front end Menu. I changed also in the EmulationStation the Game aspect ratio to 16/9 (Game settings - Per system advanced configuration - Wii) The games keep coming on in 4:3! Does sombody has a solution? Thanks

Every time I run the game in batocera v37, it changes my settings in dolphin automatically and it says "pleaae plug in a nunchunk." Can't play. Then I go to Dolphin and repeat this to change my controller settings and turn the nunchuck on. Batocera, start the game, my changes are gone "Please plugin a nunchuck" Again, and again, and again. Crap.

Great video! Would love to find out how to connect a real Wii remote to this emulator. I bought a cheap Wii USB sensor for PC to go on the top of my monitor but never managed to get it to work or work out how to set it up.

Is there a way to open the dolphin menu ingame? Because im playing twin snakes and I wonder how to beat psycho mantis without it.

v37 customize emulated wiimote & gamepad doesn't load controller settings. Demo shows square, BTN_WEST, as the in-game A button. Controller setting shows A button as BTN_EAST.

Hi, At approximately 2:42 when the games populate I only have 2 of my 12 games populating. Any suggestions on how to get the rest of the games to populate?

Hi! Could you maybe show us how you set up the game launch screen where the game is shown. I mean when you start your game…For me its a standart Batocera screen.👍

Wait .. how in the world did you find " view options" .. ? You completely skipped over that . Also there is no emulate Wii remote option.
