🧠 Swedish scientists have developed the first ‘living computer’ using human brain tissue.

🤯 It consists of 16 organoids, or lab-grown clumps of brain cells, that send and receive information like a traditional computer chip but use far less energy.

👀 This living machine, created by FinalSpark, uses about 10 to 20 watts compared to the 21 megawatts used by some of the best digital computers.

💥 The organoids, made from stem cells and trained with dopamine, are housed in a microfluidic incubator providing necessary nutrients.

😲 These neurons live for about 100 days, after which new organoids are grown.

🚀 FinalSpark has launched this technology as an online platform for global researchers, with significant interest from universities.

🧠 Dr. Fred Jordan, co-CEO of FinalSpark, describes this ‘wetware’ as a blend between software and hardware, offering a potential breakthrough in understanding the human brain and leading to cures for diseases.

🎯 The company is focusing on energy-efficient cloud computing, and Dr. Jordan will present their findings at the world’s first ‘biocomputing’ conference in Vienna.
