eHealth Week 2017 - Malta

Показать описание
From 10th to 12th May 2017, the Maltese Presidency and the European Commission will jointly host a High-Level eHealth Conference in Malta, at which leading health policy makers from EU Member States will meet to discuss how to make best use of information and communication technologies for the benefit of individual citizens and patients, as well as society in general. Since 2007, this conference has been an annual event in the calendar of the first-semester Presidency of the Council of the EU. This year, WHO/Europe is working actively with the Presidency and the Commission in the planning of the conference programme, a collaboration which is aimed at achieving greater synergy in European health policy making.
This eHealth conference is unique in that it is co-located with a Health IT Conference and Exhibition organised by HIMSS Europe, the European branch of HIMSS: a leading global not-for-profit organization focused on achieving better health through IT. The conferences are known collectively as eHealth Week. It is estimated that at least 1,000 delegates will attend. There will be 5 plenary conference sessions, 27 sessions in 3 parallel tracks, and several satellite events.
The overarching theme of eHealth Week 2017 is Data for Health: the key to personalised sustainable care.
Subjects that will be discussed during the conference include:
· Patient access to and sharing of health data
· Security and privacy in healthcare
· Sharing personal health data across country borders
· Improving the effectiveness, safety and privacy of mobile health
· Scaling up digital innovation for health and care
· Smart environments and integrated care
· Data management analytics for personalised medicine and public health policy
· Reforming healthcare systems: financial barriers and incentives
· New roles and shifting balances in healthcare
· eHealth in Malta
