Funny how the simplest things can make you relive a different time and place somehow. I opened this, and immediately could see my great-granddad (also from Kentucky) getting his old Bloodhound to start baying by going, “Where’s that rat, Bud!? Better get that rat, Bud!” And acting like there was something under the couch. My great-grandmother would get so mad and he’d just egg that hound on more by saying, “I know it, baby, tell ‘em! Tell ‘em that rat’s up underneath there!” 😂😂😂
