Thank God he was able to reunite with family in Mexico, I can't imagine how hard it would be if he had no one

Damn just by the look in his eyes you can tell he's broken but keeping his head held high I wish nothing but the best for him

My parents didn't allow me to work in high school. This guy worked two jobs and was about to graduate and now he's banned for 10 years. I can think of so many awful people we should get rid of instead of this hard-working young man.

10 YEARS!! SERIOUSLY! That's unreasonable & extremely sad! They should be putting all this effort into the real criminals not some kid with a little bit of weed! Come on!

Getting caught with cannabis should NOT be a crime for Anyone.

I’m a son to Mexican Immigrants and the struggle my parents went through to get here just to have kids born in the United States was an eye opener I am thankful for no matter what but if I was in Brandon shoes I would not loose hope

This definitely puts my own
"every day problems" in perspective. He seems so strong but his eyes reflect such sadness. I truly hope he can go back to his family in US somehow. I just showed this to my teenage kids, we are americans but lord i want them to see how blessed and fortunate they are.

This happend to me but I was the one who decided to go back to Mexico on my own terms. It was very hard to adjust I was 19 at the time now 40 years old. The best thing he could do is not waste time and go to college asp. The next 5 years will determine a lot in his life.

"Brandon in no way was a danger to his community", help get him back here, I feel terrible especially being from a different country too.

The saddest part is he can’t even see his family in the US. Since the mom can’t visit México and he’s not allowed into the US for 10 years.

Aside from being handsome and soft-spoken, he's hardworking.

Same happened to my mom back in 2005. My mom was in the USA since she was 2 and had 5 children (me included) that where all US citizens. My dad was also a US citizen and they still sent her to Mexico for 10 years. She had stolen a lipstick when she was 18 and they didn’t get her until she was 28. After she had all of us. Between those 10 years we where all separated. My dad was a truck driver who couldn’t be home all day to care for us so we where left with his family who raped and mistreated some of us. Then we where went to Mexico with my mom. We where out there for 10 years until she served her time and she then applied for her green card. She’s finally back. She has been here legally since 5 years ago, but all the trauma we went through is still there. We will never be the same.
