A Holo Taco Polish Stained my Nails Blue! 👀 #shorts #holotaco

Holo Taco’s “Hydropower” is so pigmented and beautiful that it left this bright blue staining on my natural nails! The yellow color is also due to staining, because I always wear a non protective peel-off base coat and a lot of highly pigmented polishes, which, when combined, causes superficial staining of my natural nails!

Hey everyone! I know very well that peely base doesn’t protect against stains! It’s my favorite base coat because it allows me to remove polish so easily. I just made this video to show how vibrant and pigmented HT polishes can be, so much so that they can leave pretty intense staining 😮.

Anyone who watches Christine's video would know your nails are totally normal! People should chill

Cristine has mentioned in her videos that the peely base is water-based, and therefore isnt as good at preventing nail staining from the polishes. She advises doing a layer of smoothing base on top of peely base to prevent that. I definitely think they should mention that on their product website though!

Is that your natural nail!?!?!? Not only are you an INSANE artist, but also real damn patient and gentle.

Some cuticle removing gel can help with the staining. I double up on base coat (smoothing over peely especially) and still encounter staining from certain HT polishes. They're just so deeply pigmented and vibrant and absolutely worth staining. I keep my nails painted anyway so it doesn't bother me. The cuticle gel helps clean up around the edges of your nail and some of the nail itself. Just be careful using it too much or often as it can weaken natural nails.

Peel off base coats are water based and do very little, if anything, to prevent stains. For someone who paints and repaints their nails often, i would imagine a peel off base coat would be healthier for the nails than no base coat at all! And the added benefit of being able to save amazing designs like these!

OMG Hydropower didn't stain me. And I did not use a protective base at all. And my nails are prone to staining.

I also use a regular base coat over the peel off. It makes the peel off last longer and you don't get staining that's too bad

Neutralizing or blurring base will help cover any staining 😁 It works like color correcting makeup. I use them all the time when I want to use shimmers or less opaque polishes, because my nails are hella stained from amazing polishes like HT Hydropower 💙

Christine is actually notorious for her stained natural nails. Newsflash to those of you who've never had natural nails, they stain. As Christine has explained 1247 times over the years (just a rough estimate number) staining doesn't effect the integrity of the nail nor is it an indicator of disease. Its literally just the place she puts her cup on the coffee table every day.
