I really think the Kids should also have a Tail in the Water.
As Toddlers they should splash around in shallow Waters and Kiddie Pools.
Also Mermaids should get a Tail in the Hottubs and on Floaties.
We also need more variations on Tails.

I really wish they had more realistic animations like where they could lounge on a rock in their mermaid form or have a reef where all the mermaids hang out.

about the whole being upset at catching fish, that's not because she's a mermaid it's actually because she's a child of the ocean if I remember correctly!

Island Living is perhaps the most empty pack. Diving? You don't actually do anything but wait for your sim to return. Sunbathing? You just lay there and wait to get tanned. The cave? Again, waiting because it's a rabbit hole. Cooking on a fire pit? More waiting. And waiting is NOT gameplay.

I really wanted mermaids to have their own underwater area to explore, maybe even a secret lot only mermaids could access

As a professional mermaid and long time sims player, I really would love to see mermaids get a refresh. This is something I think would really make island living a better pack and overall make mermaids feel like the sims staple they are🧜🏼‍♀️

I know you aren't really into mods, but I recommend everyone who has Island Living to install the Expanded Mermaids mod. It has so much fleshed out content and I find myself enjoying hours of play time with it. The usual mermaids have way more content but it also introduces sea witches and kelps

remember island paradise? Houseboats, hotels, sharks, Krakens and full on animated underwater world and activities there that made being a mermaid actually fun? 🥺

one time my mermaid was taking a bath and the tail didnt load so it was just her feet merged together as a stiff mass :(

you should make a video playing with the mod that ”fixes” mermaids, like adds a skill tree and more stuff to the mermaids, it would be fun to see what it adds and how different it is from this 😊

10:31 tiny little detail, but it’s a little disappointing that they didn’t change the “… wrapped around her leg” when talking about the mermaid swimming through the tunnels.

My mermaids work really well off the grid with eco lifestyle. And i used the gender settings to make the males carry the babies like seahorses😊. Using the siren's call ability refills all their needs while draining the needs of the victim. It works from a distance too and on sims you haven't met. Great for punishing poachers and litterbugs
