Thank you David, really you are doing a great job !
For starting to learn Python I found out the "Python Crash Course" very useful for me. There are a lots of practical exams in each chapter and simple explanation for persons no great experience on programming.
Good luck !

I have just bought 'Automate the Boring Stuff with Python: Practical Programming for Total Beginners',
by Al Sweigart, which I'm finding great from a complete beginners position.

Currently studying for my CCNA as well as learning some Python along the way. My main focus though is my CCNA, but want to make sure that I also have some basic Python knowledge to start with before I delve in to Python deeper.

Genuinely love what yourself and Network Chuck are doing when it comes to helping people get in to networking, so thank you for your videos.

You hit it on the head with the book suggestions! Eric’s book got a revision this year too, so between these and your courses 👍🏽

The O’Reilly Intro Python book is intriguing.. I’m currently taking Andrei Neagoie’s ‘Zero to Mastery; Python’ course which has been great, but I’m thinking the book would complement the curriculum and emphasize further details.

Another good book that I am currently using is "Learn python the hard way" (3rd edition)

Great Video!. I'm not a programmer. My question would be which is the most prevalent Python version used in Networking? Python 2 or 3?, or does it matter at all? Thanks

Im reading python crash course by Eric Mathers now and I like it. I am looking for a book that covers telnet and ssh command line automation. I test telecom equipment and want to use python and pexpect to automate equipment configuration and traffic test set control from python.

David just a question, the python book you recommended is the first edition. Any reason why this edition was specifically suggested, i have no problem with it i actually prefer this edition as it's easier to read and it has shorter chapters. But just wanted to hear you reasoning behind the selection
