I worked with horses for 42 years. The lack of a persons knowledge with horses unfortunately ends in this kind of abuse. It normally takes decades to be able to interact with such a beast without abuse to force your will on to them. The clever ones take a lot longer to gain their trust as they seem to be the ones who have more levels to their psyche.

The carriage pulling isn’t bad unless it’s being used incorrectly, a sturdy draft horse should be use in this manner, which it is. Those red bags are to keep the horse calm, most have food or treats in them, others don’t.

As someone who rides this actually hurts no horse would ever deserve any of this. And no horse back riding is not abuse. Horses are able to carry and learn just try not to go to hard on them or they might crash

I used to have a horse I was allowed to ride. The caretakers of the horse were not cruel they were very gentle. Sometimes the horse even allowed me to Pet it… it horrifies me to see what these poor horses are going through😢

The one with the carriage made my heart hurt 💔 horses are beautiful and wild animals and NO HORSE should EVER be treated like this. It’s okay to do competition like the first ones but not the big lick, really?!? (For anyone who doesn’t know what the big lick is it’s basically when they put like this block on the horse with painful nails that jab into the soft part of the hoof and it makes them lift their front legs really high to escape the pain😢) BUT luckily the big lick is banned in most places. #stophorseabuse !!

For those who don’t know, some English riders will put like tasers on Tennessee walker’s hooves so they walk like that, I forgot what it’s called, but now it’s illegal in some places, but not all!!hope this helped! :)
