I was too focused on the actual costumes and didn't read "The Rat Maiden, " so I thought for a minute that she went to the Renaissance fair dressed as the Black Plague.

My primary school once did a Victorian day, we dressed like Victorian people and we acted like we were in a Victorian school (being left handed was not fun that day). My mum asked me what I wanted to be, I said a chimney sweeper. I was the only girl to be a chimney sweeper, all the boys told me that I couldn't be one but I didn't let that stop me. I walked around covered in coal all day

I went to a renaissance faire this last weekend and there were these girls dressed as fawns, literally slayed the outfits, and apparently they have an Only Fans called Only Fawns 💀

A favorite band of mine only happened because two people met at such a fair. Richie Blackmore, former lead guitarist for Deep Purple, the group that gave us such hits as 'Smoke On The Water' and 'Child In Time' went to a renascence fair and met Candace Night who sang medieval music. They started dating and starting a group called 'Blackmore's Night' which does rocked up medieval music.

Gotta love Renn Faires. First time I went, there was a group of ladies dressed as colorful witches cackling and living their best lives. Also, Pirate!Deadpool. Whoever they were, bless them. They made the long line wait for turkey legs considerably less boring. There was also a little girl dressed as a fairy princess, watching the HEMA demo shouting "Get em, daddy!" at the guy with a mace. Definitely dressing up for the next one I go to.

My mom dressed up as a queen and i was her loyal squire, i had a pin that said “evil minion” on it and wore the squire costume with our family crest on it, for the entire fair i just held a parasol over my moms head 😂, great mutton
