*Hey guys, don't worry! David and Max already went through time and made sure that no one would ever see the remake, hence they stopped it from happening!*

I cant not wait, just hope they do a good job of this. It just seems that a lot of 80s films have something very special about them that is very hard to recreate or better..

Who cares if they remake it. If they mess it up then we'll still have the original. Why deny today's generation the story we ourselves were lucky enough to experience growing up? Giving it a reboot allows them to relate more with the visuals so they can focus more on the story.

It's sad what they did with the ship from the original movie.

It's on Disney's backlot tour at MGM, you can see the original ship they used and they haven't taken care of it at all. The ship has became blackened (I remember seeing it on the tour when I was a kid in the mid 90's and it looked the same as in the movie then) but now it just looks like they never washed it or maintained it at all, made me quite sad.

All I can say is this is my favorite movie from my childhood, I was 6 years old when this came out. It opened my mind up and my imagination!

i'm not big on remakes, but Flight of the Navigator could really be amazing with today's technology and writing.

Make a part 2! Just watched it with my daughter. LOVED this movie. Maybe Max comes back to get his data that he lost again.

That was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Twenty some years later, I still think it is good movie. So, I sure hope they don't cut corners to save money and make a crap movie.

I love this movie as kid..than again as a teen and now as an adult it's still something special. I recently watched it with my daughter and she seemed to enjoy as i did as child. I'm all for reboots, I like seeing things I love re imagined for other people. If it sucks, oh well, it doesn't tarnish the fantastic memories I have of the original.

I've been begging and hoping for a remake of this movie for years now. At any point in the past six years they could have made an awesome remake.

The original was good. I don't see how a remake could ruin that. As long as it's not a michael bay film.

There are these things called DVD's, BluRays, VHS Tapes, and Digital Downloads... Just watch the original, it aged pretty well for a youth/family focused movie.

Yep. He was the voice of Max, the A.I. of the alien ship. You could really hear his Pee-Wee Herman side take over after he scans David's brain. His talents for the role were wonderful. :)

I personally would love a remake to see how it goes, but it can't be as good with Paul's voice.

That scene from The Walking Dead when Daryl finds Merle's hand; that's basically how I reacted when I saw this.

Damn, i watched the original and it was pretty cool, still one of my favourite films, but i don't know about a remake...they tend to ruin the film
