The salary cap for the 2024-25 season is set at around $140 million, with the luxury tax set at $170 million. Those numbers provide some certainty to teams as they figure out where they stand financially going into the offseason, but how does the whole thing really work?

The NBA salary cap needs to be revised. The 2022 Warriors won the championship with homegrown players, such as Curry, Green, Thompson, and Poole.
