I've been to all of them, I agree with the Pyramids as number 1, but Angkor Wat is easily #2. Nothing compares to the scale and size; plus when you include the neighboring temples your on a different level.

Great list! I have been to both the Acropolis of Athens and Chichen Itza! I'm surprised that Machu Picchu didn't make the list.

From this list, I have visited Pompeii, Petra, Great Wall of China, Acropolis, Colosseum and Pyramids - all incredible.
I would have added Ephesus in Turkey. The one place that I would love to visit which is not on the list is Machu Picchu in Peru

I have to say that Angkor Wat and the Great Pyramid are in the top 2. Since Angkor is the largest religious temple in the world, there are more stones used to build Angkor than to build the Pyramid. During Spring Equinox, the Sun rises in the middle tower of Angkor.
