Cream - Sweet Wine live at Royal Albert Hall, London.
May 2, 3, 5, 6. 1080p
9 of 22

In May of 2005 Cream returned to London's Royal Albert Hall-to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades. This DVD documents Cream's momentous London shows. Performances from each of the four nights are featured and much more. Also included are alternate performances and interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton. Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.

The lyrics of a pastoral poem, transposed to music and we all talk of Clapton and Baker, but Bruce is a superb musician and vocalist and is often underrated.

Great jam and sight to see Eric and Jack work like they did here. Mr. Baker on top of it all and with that breakdown so well done. Still master innovators and second to none.

I've been reading these comments about "old farts", etc..., rather humorous; these guys still get the last laugh! Think about this:3 musicians who are 60+years old, haven't even
played together in 37 years..., selling out the Albert Hall for 4 nights in a row! They captivate still the audience..., 3 elderly gents riveting the attention of several thousand people for 2+hours!! Who else could pull this off??

I think these reunion shows must be the best ever reunion from an old band, its like you say to yourself before it happens 'I know Cream will still be pretty good ' but surely no one expected them to still rule live, also the version of N.S.U is just amazing.

hearing Eric with Jack and Ginger, especially Ginger, confirms for me just how much Ginger's playing pushed Eric to incredible heights as a player....you can feel Ginger guiding Eric and he responds like in the old days...so cool!

The tone on EC's strat is perfect! He is really the best, old JMH can't touch 40 years later.

I think the first Cream album fresh cream is killer, Disraeli has some good ones obviously. Wheels is another great one, and goodbye has some really great stuff. Would have loved one more full record or just 5 more tracks on the goodbye record. I was NOT ready to say goodbye.

This might be my favorite Cream song!! Incredible to see their musicianship, especially since they hadn't played together in almost 40 years!! This is rock and roll 101. The original power trio!! It saddens me though that the joy of what this band gave us is tempered by feuding and drug addiction. Rest in peace Ginger and Jack 🙏🙏

I thought that this was one of their most nostalgic tunes.... the way they jammed on this one really evoked a live bootleg 60s cream recording.
