Turbo 16-645 EMD's on Grain from Tocumwal: Australian Trains

After chasing DERMPAV's 58RM to Tocumwal (see previously uploaded video), G525 and XR554 were waiting to head south with 9354 up Pacific National loaded grain train.

I followed this train along the Goulburn Valley line in brilliant afternoon sunshine from Tocumwal through Shepparton and finishing at Dysart as the sun was setting behind the clouds.

G525 is a Clyde/GM-EMD product of the 1980's and is powered by a EMD 16-645F3B following a rebuild in the early 2000's. XR554 started life as Clyde/GM-EMD G16C X34 in the late 1960's. In 2004 it was rebuilt by Freight Australia at Dynon loco depot as a GT26C with an EMD 16-645E3C engine.

Love your videos. The composition is simply stunning. Such beautiful landscapes...and the trains aren't bad either! Thank you for sharing and keep them coming!

I guessing either you camp by the tracks or never go home much... only joking... Love your videos... what type of camera do you use?--- Cheers

Lol, it's probably closer to the truth than you think :) I haven't camped trackside (yet), but I'm out quite a lot taking photos, especially during daylight saving.

I use a Sony FX7

Very bad track condition in first scene, to the lower right of the screen, rails are bouncing up and down as the train rolls through.

I Wish PN could spend a few thousand bucks for paint to cover up all that ugly graffiti.
