Love the positive speculation in the comments. Could be the introduction to coop as the perspective shifts from chief and the pilot to our multiplayer spartans, could be we found where Locke, lasky and Palmer are or it could be the spirit of fire joining the fight on the ring or even arbiter. Let's hope 343 can deliver with this games live service single player content.

I pray it's the Spirit of Fire. I loved Halo Wars and was always interested in seeing a first person view of like a Halo Wars type battle but with the player as chief and teaming up with Red Team

In the audio logs Lasky sent blue team on a special mission, didn't even tell Halsey, and didn't specify for what or why, I'm guessing they were sent to get spirit of fire as they have experience against atriox. Explains why the tag is "friend" and their reaction says it all, and it's about time Red team and Blue team got together to fight with chief

The cutscene was likely removed since CO-OP wasn’t in a good place mechanically speaking. I imagine when it is implemented that cutscene would be a sneak peak into future DLC that could involve other UNSC fireteams like Red, Osiris, or Blue team.

I doubt it’s Arbiter since it was specified as UNSC, and his thing is The Swords of Sanghelios.

I have a feeling that is part of the opening to a new campaign DLC, or at least part of it.

It's safe to say that 343 tend to put things 'hidden' in the base game that no surprise are added later on. Or had been cut then added later on.

I'm almost positive that it's them finding the Spirit of Fire, how it's set up in HW2 almost feels perfect for them to return now. How they got there? I don't fucking know, but this feels like a really good time, thematically, to bring them back.
