This guy is seriously underrated. I'm only a few year into fpv, but when people ask me certain questions i point them here or to Bardwell's channel.

I've learned to ask the "how much would you like to spend" question when people ask about buying anything. It saves so much time.

I must confess I'm amazed at what you bought for less than 50$ I build drones as a hobby and usually put $500 or so into a build. It pains me to admit these little buggers look like more fun in some ways than the ones I build. Thanks for the video, you gave me the nudge I needed to add an obstacle avoidance feature to my drones. ;-)

Great video. I started my drone hobby when my partner bought one of these cheap drones that promised so much. Forward 2 years and I’ve had at some point all DJI drones under £2k. I’m surprised that these companies get away with what they claim. I get asked by so many people what to buy. I just say you get what you pay for and I recommend DJI. I always recommend the DJI mini series.

Great reality check! I had several "To good to be true" drones when I first started. You really do get what you pay for. Thanks for telling us like it truly is.

Steve!! This was AWSOME. Really like the way you talk about these drones. The sarcasm sometimes is hillarious. Please keep making these talks!

Steve, here in the United States, The F.A.A. does require all drones being used for commercial purposes, ( Real Estate, Construction, etc...) even drones under 250 grams to be registered and the pilots must have completed the Part 107 certification. I received this information directly from a contact at the F.A.A.. After years of watching your channel I think I have decided on the Mini 2 FE. I don't need many features, just a good camera platform to take photos of construction sites for Architectural work and for checking roofs of existing buildings. It will be interesting to see how the remote ID program will affect the drones under 150 grams. Thanks for all the great content and thanks again for the stickers!

Guess it would be cool for budding quad flyers to have a series based on this one, like 'what to expect when I get a sub $100 drone' or 'sub $200 drone' etc.

Good things are rarely cheap, and cheap things are rarely good.

Genuine enjoyment in this vid…great highlight of the difference between “cheap” and get what you pay for…that yellow guy seemed pretty fun for some indoor air hockey.

Great video to explain the price and what you get. I’m interested to see what other videos you could do on this type of video series.

I guess we all want a 500 dollar drone for 100 or less. It must be mind boggling to try and sort through all these new drones coming out. Thanks for the video. It is CND

My first drone was a Cheerson CX-20. I modified that thing to the max. When I ran out of room on the stock body I moved everything over to an S500 frame and flew it until I scraped it for parts for a hexacopter — which now sits on a shelf in my hobby room.

For £100 I have a stripped down second hand Parrot Bebop2. With an XT60 soldered in so I can run a 30min battery. It is really high quality 1080p and can go to 2km away with GPS return to home. It's fun. Flying $1000 dollars worth isn't fun if it doesn't come back.

A very entertaining and really funny video. Great 👍🏻definitely one of my favorite channels. You really notice the effort that Steve always makes. I've been in the hobby for 7 years, I've been flying FPV for 2 years (which is really difficult, I'm just quite okay) and yes, the fun is expensive - but that's how it is with all the features. Interesting to see what cheap drones can do today.
