One important point to remember is to never choose a fridge where the buttons are inside the fridge. The electronic board for the buttons or switches easily gets corrupted from defrosted water and the fidge behaves like crazy because the water shorts the electronic board and imitates pressing all the switches simultaneously.

This is the worst design especially in LG refrigerators.

Thank you Sowmya for the review. This will be useful for me as I am in the lookout for a fridge. I am looking around the 400 ltr mark. One observation that I want to add based on my visit to the physical stores. For the same kind of capacity, Samsung usually is wider than LG but with less depth. This has an impact on daily use. Frequently in our daily use, things that are kept at the deep end of the fridge are forgotten and we keep on accessing the things in the front. A wider fridge is better compared to a deeper fridge in terms of things being easily accessible.
