Trump faces backlash for criticizing Israeli PM Netanyahu

Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash for criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a campaign rally in in Florida. Among the critics was fellow GOP presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis saying, "Now is not the time to be attacking our allies."

Trump's criticism of Netanyahu is mild compared to what Israelis themselves are saying about him. And how is it controversial to say an opponent is smart or hard-working or whatever? Hamas evidently planned their attack for two years ... doesn't that show some qualities that are formidable? If all you say is your enemies are dumb, lazy, corrupt, etc., you are just setting yourself up for disaster with doublespeak.

The intelligence service, supposedly the best in the world, didn't see the attack coming and it took more than 5 hours for Isreal to respond. So I think criticism of Netanyahu's mistakes are more than justified. If they really were mistakes, because I find all the intell pretty astounding. Seems like some elements in Israel's government wanted it to happen, or at least did nothing to stop it. The aswer to that question depends on how severe the reaction is going to be. If they wipe Gaza from the map, it looks like they got the excuse to do what they were wanting to do all this time..
