Kain can be VERY overwhelming, take it slow, and get a feel for everything as you go. Getting your skills in chunks at each job advancement, and taking the time to learn and understand them is paramount to finding your footing here.

You have a LOT of skills, an excessive amount, but all of them play an important role to how this class functions and feels. Kain is a delicate dance of cooldowns. Both for your bossing and your mobbing.

Finding mobbing rotations for this class is going to be quite fun, since all of your main skills, as well as their possession enhanced versions, function uniquely. Different effects, hitboxes, and uses. So finding a way for them to flow together, kind of like my MTS3 rotation for Mihile, is something I look forward to doing.

Bossing is a very focused experience, that will probably turn into muscle memory to those of you who choose to play this class as your main. There is a rhythm to the bossing, that can start to feel really nice, once you get a hang of it. Again, I'm not sure how dramatically GMS AS0 is going to affect their overall damage, but as it feels with AS2, the class is pretty dang good.

Take this one slow, really. Don't sprint to 5th job without reading any of the skills, because diving into the deep end with this class, is overwhelming, to say the least.

Why ppl dislike his main attack? I love it, it’s like firing an uzi all the time:D Feels better to me, then any other class’s main attack, so don’t be discouraged :)

Honestly, tutorials/tips/how-to's videos on Kaine tend to reaaally make him so difficult. Like the video said; it's a hands on class.. meaning listening to explanations isn't really going to help you understand per se. It's useful when you wanna know what the skills do but to actually get into nit and grit of it? You need to play as Kaine yourself and ease in. I swear, it's only overwhelming when you only start to understand how his Possesion and Execute skills work AFTER your 4th advancement. So what you wanna do is really ease in from his first job and work your way up to the highest. A really fun class imo, with great payoff when running bosses.

reminds me if the dk playstyle from wow, your attacks places a disease on the target and then you pop the diseases for damage

I came back to Maple Story after few years 😄. I think Kain is fun to play, ya have to say Strike Arrow not as good as other job main attack skill, especially compare to Adele (just play Adele then try Kain)

I literally trained with only the basic skill up to lvl 100 because dmg is so OP you can 1hko almost everything (up to Leafre anyway)

I kind of feel weird because I main a bowmaster and do use many skills.

But the movement type it has, and the comboing factors. So It'll take me some time to get used to it.

But as an archer main these days. This should be fun.

Great video, very informative. Too bad my ping is shit and possesion felt worse than Dawn Warrior's dual-stance or whatever it's called, also I feel the class is unnecesarily complex, Evan is wack but kinda makes sense for it's concept, Zero, Cadena and Blaster are crazy but fun if you like combo styles but Kain is too high micro-managing and low rewards, i think I'll pass on it's Link Skill

not done with video yet so I might have to correct myself but is it possible to macro possession+any of the 4 skills? if it cant be used then it would just use the mobbing skill instead--or does it not work that way? Looks pretty interesting thank you for sharing!!
