Kingston DataTraveler Max USB flash drive review - write speed slowing down

I think that's just the reality of flash storage media. You can expect everything you buy to work at only half the speed, and even then not all the time. Companies are always lying and false advertising. Still it's much better than the cheap USB flash drives that cost like 10 USD/EUR and only write at 15 MB/s. USB flash drives are mostly intended to be written to rarely and read often. If you change data on it often and constantly write new files to it (for which write speed is important) then I think it would probably be better to get a 2.5" SSD in an enclosure, or maybe an M.2 format drive in an USB enclosure. It would probably also be more reliable (durable).

I have a Kingston DataTraveler Max 256GB Type A. After copying the first approximately 25 GB, the speed drops sharply from 300 to 100 and at this speed it is copied until the end. What could be the reason? ( i have usb 3.2 gen 1 )
