Here we learn all about what the Sun looks like! Prominences, Flares, Sunspots, Ejections! It's a much more active place than you think. It's also mesmerizing, like looking at a fire while camping. This is part of my intro Astronomy class taught at Willam Paterson University and CUNY Hunter.

My interest in the sun as a fascinating stellar object closest to the Earth began in Spider-Man 2 albeit in a fantastically sci-fi context and then further ignited by the Danny Boyle film, Sunshine! 🌞 ☀️ 🌤 🌅 And then further learning of Heliophysics and the relationship between the Sun 🌞 and Earth's 🌎 climate! And then challenged by the so-called "coronal heating problem" and the awe-inspiring Parker Solar Probe. 🎉 🌌 🛰 🌞 ☀️

I’ve always wondered how deep into the sun you have to go before the density becomes high enough to support the weight of a person. Circulation would seemingly be more difficult then?

A version without music would be welcome
Thanks for all your good work

I know this is astronomy and not paleontology, but could we call the sun our holotype specimen of stars?
