That's the first time I've seen Rishi looking relaxed. I genuinely think opposition suits him.

It looks silly, but I have a feeling of immense respect for the sense of tradition that this displays.

It's funny how Sunak came across as more ministerial and genuine as LOTO than he ever did as PM.

US guy here. It’s sooo wild how quickly the transition from one PM to another is. It’s been like 3-4 days since election? Here in the US, the election is first Tuesday in Nov. then we wait until January 20th to be sworn in. Almost 3 months, versus 3 days.

Has to be said, Rishi Sunak was gracious and eloquent.

I read that in the dark ages of etiquette and decorum, wine glasses were deliberately made to be fragile to force people around the table to take care in what they were doing.

All this pomp and ceremony involved in parliament could be seen as a similar example. The UK was once a brutal, lawless land and a lot of work has gone into making us a civilisation that works. It might be seen as outdated now, but it harks back to a time where things like this were necessary to keep people orderly.

The more we fall out of love with law and order, the more we fall into the manipulations of corporations and individuals that mean us harm.

Almost laughed out my chair at the DUP speech. No sooner as Londonderry was out his mouth, somebody said 'Derry' over him. xD

That was the best and most gracious speech I've ever heard Sunak give.

I will now start watching PM's Questions again. I've never watched since John Smith died. He used to have me creased up with laughter.
