2 year singing transformation

But why am I showing you this?
I started to sing on January 2021 when I was 14.
That was something I always wanted to do but because of that it was also something I was always running away from. I basically lied to myself saying that i hate singing even though I exactly knew deep down that I want to sing well. But one day i saw how a certain person sang which eventually broke the barrier which was keeping me from doing it. I then started to practise everyday by myself through YouTube videos because I couldn’t tell anyone. I had to force myself everysingle day to face my terrible terrible voice which always let me doubt if I would achieve a level of good singing. It was crucial. My voice was something I was most ashamed of. But I never stopped doing because I had faith. I wasn’t born with a singing voice but I decided to still chase after it because the chance of seeing the outcome is enough to convince me. I know my voice now is not brilliant but it’s better than yesterday and the day before and when I began. Im working on it. And I will get better.
Before I was able to sing a right note I said to myself that I believe that hard work can surpass talent.
And because of that I believe you can also.

What I showed you was a glimpse of my Vocal journey. You can furthermore witness my progress through the several covers I already uploaded here on my Channel.

I also started to release my own music where you can see how much my Vocals has transformed.

I am so overwhelmed by the amount of support and touching words here in the comments also in my instagram Dm’s and my Email. All of that is just too much for a 16 year old like me to handle. 2 years ago, when I wasn’t able to hit one single note properly and just sounded like a tyrannosaurus rex laying eggs, I said with so much fear, doubt and desperation but most importantly with confidence that I will prove to myself and to the world that hard work can surpass talent. That 14 year old David said he will inspire millions of people one day.

Fast forward to now 1320 beautiful people decided to follow my journey and 100.000 have watched this video with 6500 liking this video.
Without God's help nothing would be possible. All Glory to Him.
THANK YOU

But this singing journey of mine is one of the few things I worked on disciplined I also worked on my music producing, composing, songwriting, editing and playing all the instruments such as
Piano, Drums, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Electric Guitar and Saxophone skills in those 2 years where I also can make this kind of transformation video.

I decided to work very hard on those aspects to create my own songs by myself. And Im very happy to tell you that 7 SONGS are already OUT

"Run from Love"

"Illusion"

"Goodbye"

"About You"

"Nightmare"

“Stuck In The Paradise”

“Daydream”

I even put more effort into my songs because not only my singing skills are required but all of my other skills. Its especially really hard because I’m doing everything by myself.

I know it sounds like an annoying Promotion but it would mean the world to me if you can support that since I’m VERY desperate because my lack of marketing skills.

Also I saw many comments saying that I should work on my belting because it sounds like I’m screaming. Thank you so much for pointing out and also giving me tips!
I am no brilliant singer yet I do know that. I know what I need to work on. I will get better trust me.

Since many people asked what I do to train my voice…
What I did was watching A LOOT of YouTube videos such as „how to improve singing“ After watching that I started to sing songs I love everyday and then realized where my weaknesses are in singing which was for example breathing properly and runs and riffs also singing high, falsetto and all that so I made a Plan. Like a workout plan. The YouTuber “Jacobs vocal academy” saved my life he has a looot of videos of like “Chest voice workout, falsetto workout, runs and riffs workout“ and so on.
So I made a Plan which consists a certain different vocal workout everyday.
For example Monday: Chest voice Tuesday: Head voice
Wednesday: mixed voice And so on… I also included the „daily beginner vocal exercises“ which I really recommend.
Before every workout I did a vocal warm up also from “Jacobs vocal academy and after the actual workout I did a cool down.

And after all that workout I sang many songs with Piano or guitar to practise actually singing songs. It’s very hard to force yourself every single day to do your plan which you will put together yourself.
You have to be Consistent that’s key.

The coach was a good investment. You improved the most after your lessons. You should shout them out!

This is actually a good singing transformation. Gives people realistic ideas.

Can we please appreciate that this guy also plays piano or guitar while singing, as if that's not making it even more difficult to sing haha

To hit high notes you gotta open your jaw downwards and increase air velocity. Maximize the surface area your larynx can produce sound. Don't stretch your neck and DEFINITELY don't look up. Look straight forward and keep your chin down. You'll get there champ. I'm a low baritone (possibly bass) but can comfortably hit high tenor parts. It just takes a little getting used to

I knew you could train your voice to sound better. But I had no idea it could be at this extent. I thought singing was just something you're naturally born with. This is actually really inspiring.

As a voice and piano teacher, I’m so proud of your determination and progress! And you stuck with if even through much frustration (every musician has been in the same position). It is brave to be able listen to yourself and be objectively critical so as to make necessary improvements, regardless of how much it makes yourself cringe! What more, sharing it on YouTube! Congratulations, you are well on your way to being a great singer and musician! You’re doing great, keep at it!

Hey man, it's normal to feel frustrated. I've been singing basically since I was born and took a bit of voice lessons. And I noticed that alot of ur problem really stems from ur anxiety. I recommend trying to relax even on high notes. It will feel a little awkward and counter intuitive since you wanna be louder and higher, but when you try to sing louder and essentially scream the song, it leads to poor control and technique. I hope this helps, keep it up king.

This is a prime example of showing anybody has the capability of singing. It’s all about practice and patients with yourself. I’m happy and very impressed about your progress and I hope you continue to impress👍🏻

😻 I'm 52 yrs old and have wanted to sing my whole life but never thought I would ever be good enough so I never pursued it. Watching this video I actually broke down crying because of your courage and determination. You have shown me just what it looks like to be brave and I hope I can live by your example. Thank you for showing me what is possible.

This video is an excellent example of how discipline (and a good coach) can turn you into anything you want. It applies not only to singing.

The best sound to come out is when you can sing comfortably. No need to chase after a higher note. Good job on the training, this is much more realistic than some fake vids out there.

I don’t think anyone should ever be ashamed of their voice. You know the saying that the eyes are the gateway to the soul, for me, the voice is the gateway to the heart. This timeline of your voice is a reflection of how you’ve grown as a person, even if I don’t know what you’ve been through. My point is as humans we all grow, our hearts mend more easily as the more pain we feel the more we are able to come to terms with it and be stronger. We become better people much like our voice becomes better.

The voice is a reflection of you, your identity and what you love, and from what I can hear… it’s bloody beautiful mate, keep it up ❤

I've been singing for 2 years too. The beginning is brutal but you eventually start to get it. I'm glad you posted this, It's a realistic transformation of consistent work.

I think from the very start you had the right idea of how to sing without damaging your voice. Sometimes that's the hardest thing for singers to find out and i respect you that you did
