EUROPEANS! We're coming to Copenhagen, Prague, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Köln this November! - Patreon Pre-sale (23rd or 24th) Jan, and On Sale 26th Jan! After much online abuse, we'll be honouring the danes and Czechs with our presence.

“It’s the same actor playing different characters.” “Well that’s needlessly confusing.” That’s pretty rich coming from a bunch of lads who each played 3 different people at the same funeral last week. 😂

“I’ve been smiling for 20 minutes, I’m doing more acting than he is” had me dying 😂😂

I have to admit, Foil’s character really spoke to me at the end. Every time I do a long performance of some kind and the audience wants more than one curtain call I always end up smiling like a maniac but muttering “go home go home go home, I wanna go home!” through gritted teeth whilst still on stage 😅

That was fantastic 😂
I’ve always wondered why so many theatre shows have a burglary scene in them, thanks for the explainer!

I appreciated seeing the Snob as a background character. I was wondering why he was there doing so little, but of course he is the one to ask questions when everyone wants to leave

Just think of theatre as a really really good 3D movie, so immersive it’s like the actors are right there.

As an educator, I sometimes get to accompany my students to our local theater for some mildly entertaining children’s theater. We saw the bridged version of the Nutcracker in December. Unfortunately, our school is always assigned to the balcony… I’m talking worst seats in the house! It never fails that some of my students lose interest…often they ask why they’re watching such a small tablet screen and how do we turn up the volume? 😂 They’re so confused when I tell them we’re watching real people on a stage (even though we discuss theaters vs movie theaters before going). I once had a kiddo ask me to rewind it. Kindergarten, whatcha gonna do? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Very accurate!

I can say as someone who's done traveling shows that we don't mind when the audience does laugh loudly.

We were doing a comedy one time in a very small town. No one laughed. We kept professional, but kept shooting glances at each other and back stage was whispering up a storm. Just what went wrong??

After a nice older woman came up and said she loved it. So much she barely held back her laughter.

When we told her it was fine. She was supposed to laugh she clutched her chest and exclaimed, "in a theatre?! That wouldn't be proper!"

„What did you think was behind that big curtain? A screen!“ My favourite line! Brilliant sketch and so accurate!

For once the snob was the most reasonable and chill guy in the sketch! 😂😆

Really fun sketch lads, the costumes felt really well chosen for that one!

This happened to me once - though I see now it could have been much worse. I went to see a what I thought was a normal film and as a character randomly burst into song, I realised, to my horror, it was a musical. As I groaned and sunk into my seat my friend and her family who'd brought me along laughed and laughed... Still get flashbacks.

OMG, I thought you guys had actually gone to film in another location (just like the Snob in Cinema)! Please pass on my congrats to Hog the Set Guru, for doing such a magnificent job really convincing me it was an actual theatre! 👍😃

"I'm doing more acting than he is" - brilliant writing, so meta! 🤯

Oh, man, the end spoke to me - you DON'T need to give a standing ovation to every performance you go to! It's lost all meaning because people just started standing up no matter the quality of the performance. Stand only when it's something that was REALLY great! Same goes for the prolonged clapping.

I'm assuming this is Stephen and Gerald, and now I just want to see Stephen reacting to all kinds of modern art. Interpretive dance, spoken word poetry, maybe a performance piece by La Bullshat. 10/10 would want to hear his reviews.

Is this the first snob cameo? Love the fact that he's being integrated into sketches where he isn't the focus. Great stuff as always.👍

I was convinced this is how the snob went to the prison.

😂 Reminds me of when I was watching National Theatre’s streamed, minimalist version of Jane Eyre. My dad would come into the room at various times and was very confused. “What is he doing?” “He’s playing the dog.” Later: “What is the dog doing?” “Oh no, now he’s playing a candelabra.”
