Black Seas: Unboxing the Victory and L' Orient

Massive sail going ships to up your game of Black Seas. Some say there are monsters that roam the deep, but these bad boys are the true terrors of the sea! The mighty first rates from the British and French!

The similarities between French vessels would be fairly historically accurate. They tended to build a lot of the same type of ship. The Téméraire-class ship of the line for example where the most produced class of battleship ever produced. English ships were far less consistent and even the ships in the same class would have had more variability during construction.

At about 11:15 you start musing on how the game-developers choose the values for the guns for the ships ... whether it might be abstract. Well, that would be one way to put it. Another way would be to say that the numbers have almost no relation to actual capabilities of the ships, given that, for example, both of these ships have half as much long-range punch to the front as they do to the sides. (That's insane, to be blunt.)

Are the stats for the ships included in the rules? I already have painted fleets, so don’t really want to buy those…
