Thank you. I was so confused about inserts as I couldn't figure out how the processed signal returned to the channel. Knowing it is an input output channel and that just having a proper cable has saved me precious brain cells. Debating between mackie profx, Alan & heath.zedi, yamaha mg12ux. Some of those cheap Chinese mixers seem to offer a lot but I can't find much reliable info on how they are to use

Hi Mackie. I have an older anologue profx12. I'd love to make use of it. What I'm looking for is a point in each channel strip to insert an insert BUT after the channel's fader. Can it be done? I'm hoping to bypass the master section and feed 6-8 channels into a scarlett 18i8 but affect the sound source using the mackie eq, effects and compressor.

Hi there! I have an issue with inserts pls help! Behringer XENYX X 2442 USB it have master ins(erts) but theres 2 outputs left/right insert channel! I would like to use a Behringer MDX 4600 MULTICOM PRO-XL compressor in the master chain but I don't understand how the cables come together!?
