Hi David, how are you my dear friend ? thank you for this interesting video, its the same here in Israel: The number one hits 1987 was the last vinyl that was pressed in Israel ( vinyl stopped totally around 1992 ) i remember my father bought me that vinyl, great memories, also my father bought me the Return of the Rocker on vinyl German release, amazing sound mix by the way, thank you, Cheers, Lior

Hi dave, some really nice albums there, you seem to have a lot of promos Do you look for them especially tha nice to have altho it's interesting you saying on some albums the promo is easier to find, a wonder with vinyl making a comeback if CDs still outsell vinyl a would think they do but people seem to want the vinyl now which for me is a great thing, the return of the rocker av always loved a dint have a copy now, but a had an American pressing some years back wished ad kept it av not seen a copy since, the last album you showed was a really nice cover fantastic shot of the young EL, great piece dave, take care Tony 👍

Hi David it's I didn't know that the orange label was used right up until 1987 in Japan, it's also good to know the exact date the record was released 1987 seems early to "go out" for vinyl but then Japan were always thinking ahead with technology the last Elvis record l I bought in the U.K was probably the proper last Elvis vinyl in 1996 " Elvis 56", then there was a gap of about 4 years before the next vinyl releases and they were all box sets and greatest hits compilations right up until 2004 ( in the U.K) thanks for the video, look forward to the next.

Very interesting video, cds took hold their in JAPAN earlier than here in the states. I didn't buy my first CD till 1988 paid $19.99 ( the band was Kraftwerk) so I was still buying ALBUMS till 1990 by that time cds were alot cheaper to buy. Did ALBUMS ever make a comeback their like they are here in the states?

Hi David. Todd here. I have written to you a couple of times before. I live in Ibaraki and found a couple of Elvis releases in my local recycle shop. “That’s the way it is.” and “on Stage” with the same obi sticker. I am curious about the pressings and date releases. I would like to send you a photo of them and get your insight on them. Is there a way to do this? Is there a way that I can contact you? Appreciate all your stuff. Todd

Another interesting video. Thanks. Was the 57 Christmas CD made in Japan? I bought one in Memphis last week and the CD had the blue line around.

Great video, does having the Japanese CD releases of Return of the Rocker, Valentine's etc without the obis hurt the value alot. I have super clean Japanese versions (not US released made in Japan) but none with obi as you stated, they seem impossible to find. Thx!

hello!

Considering that Elvis released only about 2 dozen actually studio albums, the sheer number of is other releases is "staggering". Do you happen to have them all? 😀

I got my 1st ever CD in August 1986 and it was Turbo by Judas Priest. The CD itself was made in Japan but the rest of the release was printed in the Netherlands. I still have it.

Here in Finland LPs were made up to around 1993 and then they started to disappear. I'd have to say that Japanese were "too busy" getting rid of vinyl. Wish they would have made them longer.

Another interesting video,
