I've got Powerstop slotted & drilled rotors/Z23 brake pads on my '14 & a few days after it was installed it has a loud scrapping/sloshing noise when it's going down steep hills at over 45mph & hard breaking at over 70mph, (& yes, I did brake in the pads correctly)..It absolutely minimize break fading, in comparison to the factory smooth rotors, but since I don't run it on tracks, I will be going back to OEM since it has glazed over after 9k miles..You will find quite a bit of this slotted information on different forums..Looking forward to you next video...

Great video as always! I'm happy to see you took it to a track to find out both its limits, and your own. Do you have room in the front for diy brake ducts?

I track 4-5 times a year. Had the same problems with stock brakes. Went to Hawk HP Plus Sport Pads - Enhanced Compound and the factory rotor up front. It works well. I have factory rear rotors in back with ECS Yellow stuff.... Stay away from Disc Italia! Wore them down to nothing at track and ended up metal on metal at end of 3 sessions. Had to limp home! I also tried different rotors, slotted & drilled, but found originals work just as good as anything else.

My friend had a 1M, blew out a strut on a track day. $5000 in damage. He tracks about 2-3 times a month, not worth paying for track insurance every time. It blew out right next to the one wall they had and he just clipped it.

That said just at a dog park on day I lost a tie rod out of the blue. At 10 mph, not so bad...at speed that would have been hairy to disastrous.

The fun part was they were having a Towing Company appreciation day at the park that day...none of those asshats wanted to just tow me 10 mins home. I waited 6 hours for a tow truck.

This was great. Can you edit out the cost info so I can show this video to my wife?

Get ss brake lines. Maybe some ti shims. If you’re tracking more then look into ducts.

Best part of whole video was the seat belt trying to kill the instructor 😆

Tracked mine once a month for 3 years. I solved my brake problem by switching to performance friction pads on my v sport. Night and day difference at the track. Stock pads are shit. They actually offered performance pads for a $100 on the v sport but my dealer said they didn't stock any because they squeeled a lot. I don't know, I just switched mine.

Hi Jet fuel. I have some questions about track performance. How is the cooling for oil, trans etc? Do you see any issues after 5-6 cont. Laps? Also can you please share link to your track pads? Also are you on Tifecta tune? Thanks

I’ve seen a couple V sports with 90k plus miles for around 22k. I’m super interested in them. What are the main problem areas with these cars?
