Thank you Sir. Also you can program the PIC micro-controller using MP LAB program which must be installed on the lab top. But the Lab top interfaces with the Arduino Kit for example.

What is the purpose of the resistor you put there? In other cases I have seen them also put a crystal oscillator and capacitors when programming the PIC microcontroller. What are those needed for and how do I know if and where to connect them?
