How to Remap Buttons Without Being Rooted [Android 4.3+]

In this video, I'll be showing you a cool new app from Flar2 called "Button Mapper" that lets you remap hardware buttons without root.

This doesn't work with the power button or on-screen navigation keys, but all other hardware buttons are fair game, including capacitive keys. With this simple app, you can assign custom functions to any of your buttons, or use them to launch apps and shortcuts. There's even a long-press action that can be assigned, so you can leave your original button function intact, then add a secondary function.

This seems like an old vid/app, I'm curious, does it let you remap the right mouse button on android so that it isn't borked to just be a "back" button?

Can't remap Home, Recents or Back buttons on the Navigation Bar unless you Root the phone. I was hoping to remap Home button-Long Press after disabling Google Assistant, to make it Lock the screen, but alas, can't change those button assignments.

Nice vid, although my problem is that I want to "pick up" the phone when it's ringing by using my Huawei Easy-button. This button is programmable only the actions available do not include answering an incoming call! Which I find totally stupid. The reason I want this, is that I work in the forrest and often I can not pick up my phone cause my hands are too sweaty or too cold, the touchscreen does not react :-(( So frustrating if you want to pick up but can't cause the bloody things (I had multiple phones) don't respond well. So I wanted to write my own app to do that, but that's a study on its own. So my most urgent question is:
DOES BUTTON-MAPPER ALLOW TO CHOOSE 'ANSER PHONE' AS AN ACTION TO EXECUTE ?

Yeah the only thing it can't do it's the same thing none of them can... Which is to map the button to press a button on the screen in a game it's not that hard to do but you can't find an app anywhere that can do that there's plenty of macro apps
