As someone with a late July birthday, it’s actually kinda great that I’ve never had to take a test or anything on my birthday. I get to spend it doing whatever I want. Even as an adult, it’s a slow season, so it’s almost always easy for me to get the day off. I’m just saying that you can’t really spend every birthday at an amusement park or whatever if you’re in school 🤷🏼‍♂️

this is why I’ve always loved having a November birthday:
- It’s in the school year, and late enough that you could have already made friends
- Having grown up outside of America we don’t celebrate thanksgiving, so no holidays during that month
- It is however encircled by months with holidays, which is a great thing: Halloween, my birthday and Christmas is a perfect triumvirate of "holidays" that are equally distanced
- Being early in the school year, there’s also no important exams
- My birthday (the 18th) is far enough from Christmas to not have the "it can be your birthday and Christmas present" bs

You also have to account for Big Regional Events, like the Super Bowl for example. Things like that can interfere with everything, ranging from attendees to what party supplies/decorations you can get, and if the Event is something the birthday person doesn't care for? Good chance of breeding lifelong resentment for The Event, even (or ESPECIALLY) if it's something the rest of the family enjoys

Gotta agree. My bday is Jan 29. It's just long enough from Christmas where mfkrs can't just say "it's your Christmas and Bday presents." And just out of the whole Christmas break so I'd be able to get max gifts and attention. While getting stuff back to back.
