Not only did not trading Ohtani hurt the Angels but they did the exact opposite. They tried to push for the playoffs at the deadline by going all in and giving up what little prospects they had for guys that they would place on waivers before the waiver wire deadline to try to get under the luxury tax. It’s not surprising why they set for a franchise record for losses last year

Arte Moreno didn't wanna trade Ohtani to the Dodgers because he didn't wanna give them a megastar. So he ended up in LA and we didn't have to lose any prospects or help the Angels rebuild their franchise. I love it 😂

People keep blaming Freddie's agent when its been said already that the Braves screwed up by waiting until the very last minute to make a decision to match the Dodgers. Maybe they shouldn't have waited. Don't forget Freddie was still a Free Agent when they signed Olson.

As a Guardians fan I don't really mind the Lindor trade after a while. Honestly I think what hurts a lot more is yainer Diaz. The difference being that we could have had a really really good catcher and that would have made all the difference in our lineup even last year. With Lindor we weren't going to be able to afford to keep him anyway. We were going to have to trade him.

As an Angel's fan. Rendon is #1 BUT not trading Ohtani at the deadline is #2. If we traded him, it could've helped make up for the Rendon blunder. But instead we wasted even more capital and didn't build towards the future. Which is trash because the Angel's have a legitimately good young core right now. A lot of potential if grown well, but we'll probably squander it again.

Crazy thing is other teams lucked out they didnt trade for Ohtani as he was already breaking down in end of July. I know he won the MVP yet that's more because of his crazy first half and Aaron Judge not only tearing his toe yet not being able to DH. The crazy Angels not trading Ohtani while he slowly was breaking down must mean they rather get the $$$ the rest of the year. Its really crazy they got screwed because he ended up getting hurt the rest of the year. Crazier is why do they think Ohtani could help them in the regular season when they couldnt even get to .500 the whole time he was an Angel.
