This battle was perfect... Absolutely.

Bowser shows how deadly he is with and without his army. Despite his villain reason is Peach's heart. It's a very "real" and human reason.

Donkey Kong helps his red cap rival/friend fighting Bowser. But he teach him that Size and strength is not Bowser's weakness.

Peach as friend and support to our protagonists

Mario fights back despite being only just a human (especially his base form without power ups). But he don't mind because he has his brother and his friends on his side. The "power up" that Bowser will not have.

Luigi covers Mario's back just like he did to him many years ago. And together! they save the day as the LEGENDARY SUPER MARIO BROS.

Damn! Bowser at the final act is super scary, thanks to Jack Black.
Edit: Plus the soundtrack is super nostalgic, man.. While Sonic 2 is my favorite video game movie, this one is almost close.

Er... no, Mario did not. It was *Peach* who ruined the wedding. Mario didn't even *know* about the wedding until after he got there, and he didn't react to it at all (at least from what we saw). All he did was swoop in to save Luigi, and then reunite with Peach after-the-fact.

I remember cringing throughout Mario’s beat down and I was really drawn in by how truly frightened Mario is. Bowser really is a powerful beast. And watching Luigi overcome his cowardice to protect his brother is the crowning moment of awesome for me alongside with them working together to trounce Bowser and his army to bits after getting the Super Star.

The final battle in this film didn’t hold back its punches and is absolutely the most intense I seen from Illumination. Jack Black was terrifying here as Bowser and proves to be absolutely the most terrifying and dangerous villain in a Illumination film ever.

Man the only thing that could make this scene better was your edits. I love how they portrayed Bowser as the powerhouse he is - love seeing him trash everyone. It also makes the Super Star beatdown by the bros all the more satisfying.
