Urban Circular Bioeconomy Webinar Series is back! The EU Bioeconomy Strategy envisions cities as vital circular bioeconomy hubs, where biowaste transforms into safe and sustainable bio-based products. Yet, few cities have initiated circular bio-based economy strategies or projects. In this series, experts from the HOOP Project will share insights and best practices to turn urban circular bioeconomy projects into reality.

Learn from the experiences of Miguel Angel Suarez Valdes from CETENMA and Jorge Rodrigues de Almeida, from RdA Climate Solutions in providing Project Development Assistance to 8 cities and regions.

About HOOP project:
HOOP is about investing in local initiatives to extract valuable resources from urban #biowaste and wastewater in order to make innovative bio-based products. Advancing Europe’s circular economy agenda, as a main pillar of the European Green Deal, HOOP will provide direct Project Development Assistance (PDA) to municipalities so they can build their administrative, technical, economic, financial and legal expertise. This project will help enhance the return on investments by reusing resources, creating jobs, and developing local #bioeconomy capacity. 

The HOOP project supports 8 lighthouse cities and regions in developing large-scale urban circular bioeconomy initiatives that will focus on sustainably obtaining bio-based products from urban biowaste and wastewater. The HOOP Urban Circular Bioeconomy Hub will create an online platform to foster knowledge exchange and replication in cities across Europe.
